Meet the Team Captains
Our incredible team captains are ready to lead their sides in the Great Debate! Adam, who has been part of this iconic event since it began in 2006, is back to bring his signature wit to the stage. Joining him is a bestselling children's author and Dymocks Children's Charities Ambassador R.A. Spratt, who, after taking on the role of debater in previous years, will be making her debut as Team Captain in 2025. We can't wait to see these two battle it out in an unforgettable showdown!

He is a TV personality on everything from comedies Good News Week and The Glasshouse to weekly sports wrap The Back Page, and is also a member of the Sleek Geeks Science Team with Dr Karl Kruszelnicki. 2025 marks Adam’s 19th Great Debate!
R.A. Spratt is a best-selling author and renowned podcast host, celebrated for her popular series Shockingly Good Stories, Friday Barnes, The Peski Kids, and Nanny Piggins. She also hosts the globally acclaimed podcast Bedtime Stories with R.A. Spratt. As an Ambassador and former debater, she will be making her debut as Team Captain in 2025.
