School Spotlight

We recently provided 450 brand new books to Year 7 students at Newton Moore Senior High School, and the response was incredible. One student shared, “There were so many beautiful and cool-looking books that it took a while to get to the bottom of the boxes. The library tables were overflowing, and we were surrounded by the smell of new books—wow! It was awesome!”

The variety of books truly stood out, with the student noting, “We were thrilled to see books by Aboriginal authors, as well as books about superheroes, real-life heroes, fantasy, sports, and so much more. Some students were so excited that they started reading immediately!”

These books are already positively impacting the students, sparking curiosity and a love for reading. The student emphasised, “These books are important for helping our students learn about life, build empathy, and set goals for their future. They’re making a real difference.”
